A platform audit and content strategy for a driver training provider, followed by a full library of on-brand social assets — from strategy document to published post.
The Brief
5 Counties MiDAS Driver Training wanted to grow their social media presence but weren't sure which platforms were actually worth the effort. Rather than spreading content across every channel, I was asked to work out where their audience already was — then turn that into a plan they could act on straightaway.
The client supplied the topics they wanted covered; I researched each one and turned it into finished, on-brand content, ready for them to publish.
Approach
Reviewed existing LinkedIn activity and website testimonials to identify current clients, then mapped their presence across Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram
Found that the large majority of clients had no Instagram presence — redirecting focus to Facebook and Twitter, where the audience was demonstrably already active
A clear, actionable document covering platform priorities, quick wins, and a framework for setting goals that actually match the business
Topics researched and turned into finished, on-brand graphics and copy — ready to publish
Full Scope
Key Insight
Auditing where existing clients were genuinely active — rather than assuming Instagram was essential because it's popular — showed that effort was better spent on Facebook and Twitter. This single piece of research reframed the whole content plan, saving the client from building a presence on a platform their audience wasn't using.
Process
The client supplied the topics they wanted covered — road safety guidance, seasonal messages, and engagement content. Each topic was researched, then designed into finished, on-brand assets. All content was handed over for the client to schedule and post themselves.
As this was posted and managed by the client directly, day-to-day performance data sits with them rather than with me — the strategy brief and the finished asset library are the clearest record of the work.
